I came across this quote today by an artist who is also a pastor. In her words, “Faith without fear is a lie.” In this quote she is referring to the fear of God that has led so many of our ancestors to their deaths. Fear of God is a form of self-doubt and discouragement; while faith in Him is a form of hope and an experience of the future.
The quote goes on to say that many people who feel afraid and scared have been successful in doing so. Some of them are successful in their own lives, but they’ve been on the verge of being killed. Others have been on the verge of being killed for their own sake, but they’ve done their own damned thing.
These people are “faithful.” They have not given up on their own life or God, and they do not fear death. The fear of death is the opposite of faith. Instead they are confident that they will be able to do what they need to do. They do not fear death. The fear of death is a form of self-doubt and discouragement.
I had thought this was a clever play on words, but I guess I was wrong. We see a lot of these tattoos in horror movies as a way to give a message, but I don’t know if that’s what those words are really trying to say. What we’re seeing here is a tattoo saying “no matter what, you will always be a survivor.
I believe the words actually say that if you have faith, you can do what you need to do in the face of death. I find it ironic that the tattoo itself is a tribute to that point, because death is the opposite of faith. Instead they are confident that they will be able to do what they need to do. They do not fear death. The fear of death is a form of self-doubt and discouragement.
I think this tattoo is a good reminder to all of us that we should never fear death, because fear can paralyze us and cause us to do or say the wrong thing. The tattoo is not saying that death is an impersonal and unfeeling event. No, the tattoo is saying that, rather than fear of death, it means faith in the power of the future. Trust that what you do and think today will be enough to make your life a memory.
In the past, our society has been conditioned to believe that we have to have faith in the power of the future to make a difference in our lives. In the past we have been taught to think that death is bad, that fear of death is irrational, and that we should avoid it. But, I think faith has always been a component of the human journey. We are created in the image of God and have been given the ability to choose our own path.
And it’s not that we are born without any of these things, but rather that we are given the ability to choose how we want to make our life a legacy. To choose whether we want to be a victim or an act of courage. To choose whether we want to work for a family or join an organization and make a difference. To choose whether we want to be a hero or just a victim. If we choose to be a hero we become the hero of our dreams.
When we see the word Courage tattooed on our hands or on our chest, it is a choice to be brave or to be afraid. The choice of being brave or being afraid are not some sort of default, but they are the choices we make. If we choose to be brave we become the hero of our dreams. When we choose to be afraid we become the victim of our fears. We become the victim of our fears because we don’t believe we can do anything to change our lives.
Our choices have a tremendous impact on those around us. Courage to be a hero in our dreams is the bravery of a child. Courage to be a victim of our fears is the cowardice of a child. It is the difference between a child who needs to be protected and a child who needs to be saved. Fear is the fear of loss. Courage is the courage to protect ourselves and to be the hero of our dreams.
